Three of the six Arts & Crafts houses designed by Hugh Petter on a 10-acre site in Kilmacolm, Scotland have been completed. Each houses has its unique character and traditional materials to reflect the established local architecture. Hugh Petter collaborated with local architect Thomas Robinson Architects. Plot 1 was awarded Best Luxury Home at the Herald Property Awards 2008, the award was presented to the developer, Scops Developments.
Construction is underway for new modern art gallery and office space on New Bond Street, London, designed by George Saumarez Smith. The building has a single-storey, bronze framed shop front, two principal floors and a plainer attic storey in Portland stone, relating to the existing historic streetscape and retaining the memory of the former buildings on the site. The façade is also an architectural framework for three bas-reliefs by the artist Alexander Stoddart.
