UK ARCHITECTURAL COURSES SURVEY

Conducted by TAG in conjunction with the RIBA, October 2010

The purpose of this survey is to document the particular stylistic tendencies (if any) present in architectural teaching.

All UK architectural schools are being approached to complete the questionaire on line.

The results will be published in the first place on the TAG website. It is anticipated that they will be of value to all interested in architectural education including prospective architectural students.

In the first place the heads of architectural schools are being asked to complete the questionaire and are given private access to the webpage to do so.

Following the collection of material submitted by the heads of schools it will be published in readily accessible form. If any school does not complete the form this will be recorded along with any reason given.

At a later date the same form will appear on a public page of the TAG website and architectural students will later be invited to complete it. Thus the views of the organisers of the courses and the students that took the courses can be compared and balanced. The views of students will also be published on the website subject only to necessary moderation.

Please complete the following questionaire retrospectively for the second year course only for last academic year, i.e. 2009/2010.

This survey is being conducted by the Traditional Architecture Group a linked association of the Royal Institute of British Architects
